Sermon's Interview With French Montana

French Montana. 2 years ago if you asked people who this man was, they'd say "who?" In such a short time this man has created an empire. Originally starting out with his Cocaine City DVD series, French has created it into a street classic. Every volume that comes out sells a good amount. It's been a long time coming indeed. Earlier in the year, signing with Konvict has skyrocketed his popularity alongside the countless mixtapes and videos being shown all over the internet. Today he joins me in my Domain. He talks about everything from his beef to his deal to his birthplace. Big thanks to Marisa Mendez. I transcribed this from the audio I was given.

SERMON: It’s the kid Sermon and we’re here with the new Konvict signee French Montana. How’s everything going French?
FRENCH: Everything going good.

SERMON: You were born in Morocco, Africa. How long did you live there and what do you remember of the living conditions in the area?
FRENCH: It was a third world, stricken with poverty. I lived there like 14 years. It was a beautiful city if you got money but for the most part it’s like here. A lot of people like to downgrade Morocco and Africa like its all jungles and lions and shit. The actual truth is a lot of stuff is going on out there.

SERMON: Once you came to the states, how did you and your family choose to live in the Bronx?
FRENCH: It was just where everything was accessible. We knew a couple of people that lived out there.
